Third Palestinian attack in Middle East

A Palestinian suicide bomber has died in an apparent car bomb blast in Israel.

The bomb exploded next to a bus at a busy crossroads in central Israel, setting the bus on fire.

There are no reports of other serious injuries.

The attack was the third by Palestinians today – earlier another suicide bomber killed three people at a railway station in northern Israel while a Palestinian gunman killed an Israeli school van driver and a female teacher in the Jordan Valley.

Israel has responded to the attacks with helicopter missile strikes in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

A building belonging to Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement was destroyed but no one was hurt.
