17 killed in South African fire

Seventeen people have died in a fire at South Africa’s most popular safari area, the Kruger National Park.

Fourteen of the dead were villagers caught in the blaze, while the other three were park rangers.

The fire started in the south of the park, but what caused it is still a mystery.

Kruger National Park attracts one million visitors each year, 40% of them tourists.
