Black woman has KKK carved into chest

US Police are investigating the case of a black woman was beaten up, sexually assaulted and had the letters KKK carved on her chest.

The 32-year-old said she was attacked after being approached by two white men in a pick-up truck near her home in Bivins, Texas.

The men, who had sheets or pillowcases over their heads, allegedly called her a racist name and abused her.

She was treated in hospital for her injuries. KKK stands for white supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan.

Cass County police and the FBI are investigating.

The woman said she was forced into the truck and hit on the back of her head.

"I don't remember too much after that. I was blinking in and out (of unconsciousness)," she said.
