Plane crashes near Malaga airport

We are receiving reports a plane has crashed on a road near Malaga airport in Spain.

It is not immediately clear if the plane was carrying passengers.

The plane, belonging to the Spanish Binter Mediterraneo airline, was traveling from Melilla, a Spanish enclave on the northern Moroccan coast.

Firefighting units are at the scene of the accident.
