Police drop assault case concerning the Hamiltons

English police have dropped the investigation into the assault case concerning Christine and Neil Hamilton.

Police say there was no evidence to support the allegations against the Hamiltons.

The allegations were made by a woman, who claimed the Hamiltons took part in a serious sexual assault at a flat in east London.

The Hamiltons strongly denied the allegations and said they had a number of independent witnesses, who would prove their innocence.
