Concorde go-ahead postponed

Plans for Concorde to resume passenger flights this autumn have been put on hold.

French regulators have announced that they need more time to properly analyse modification work on the supersonic jets.

The delay means that BA will not begin services in September as planned.

Both Air France and BA are likely to resume supersonic services in October.

The airworthiness directive will be issued to BA by the Civil Aviation Authority and to Air France by the DGAC.

All Concorde jets have been grounded since the Paris crash last year, which killed 113 people
