Representatives of the International Red Cross have visited the eight foreign aid workers imprisoned by Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers for preaching Christianity.

The two Americans, two Australians and four Germans were jailed three weeks ago following a raid on the offices of Shelter Now International, a German-based Christian aid organisation.
