Australian minister rejects bid to ban Mugabe

Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer today rejected calls by legislators to ban Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe from a Commonwealth summit in October.

Mugabe is one of 54 leaders expected to attend the summit of Britain and its former colonies and dependencies.
