New York gripped by £125m lottery draw
All roads led to Connecticut from New York as lottery mania gripped the Big Apple a day before a £125m draw.
Ticket sales have been "nuts" for days said Rob Martin, who owns a shop in in Greenwich, Connecticut. "I love it. I love the craziness."
Neither New York nor New Jersey takes part in the Powerball lottery, which is played in 20 states.
That has transformed Greenwich into a mecca for dream-seekers from nearby states.
In 1998, when the jackpot approached £215m, shops in the town had people queuing for six hours to buy tickets.
