The uncle of teenager Danielle Jones has been charged with a string of sex and drugs offences not related to the disappearance of his niece.

Stuart Campbell, from Grays, Essex, will appear before magistrates in Harlow on Monday, Essex police say.

The 43-year-old builder has been remanded in custody pending the appearance on seven charges.

Danielle went missing after leaving her home in Coronation Avenue, East Tilbury, to catch the bus to school on June 18.

Campbell has been bailed on suspicion of murder until November 13, police say.

The charges are: Between January 1, 2000 and June 22, 2001, in Grays, he made indecent photographs of a child.

Between January 1, 1979 and December 31, 1981, in Tilbury, he took an indecent photograph of a child.

Between December 31, 1981, and January 1, 1981, in Tilbury, he assaulted and unlawfully imprisoned a girl against her will.

On June 11, 1987, in East Tilbury, he indecently assaulted a girl. Between January 1, 1981 and January 31, 1981, in Grays, he indecently assaulted a girl.

On June 22, 2001, in Grays, he had 916mg of amphetamines, a class B drug. He also had 92 tablets and 7.73g of Pemoline, a class C drug.
