Collapse of Soviet Union commemorated in Moscow

There have been low-key gatherings in Russia to mark the 10th anniversary of the failed coup that triggered the collapse of the Soviet Union.

A few hundred demonstrators have rallied outside the White House building in Moscow to protest that the collapse of communism has brought poverty for millions of ordinary Russians.
