Dairy accused of Vatican butter smuggling scam

Police and customs officers have raided an Austrian dairy which allegedly claimed it was exporting butter to the Pope to avoid paying taxes.

Exports to the Vatican in the Vatican City, where the Pope has his official residence, are regarded as exports outside the EU.
