Gunmen in Angola have killed 91 people after a landmine attack on a train carrying hundreds of refugees.

The gunmen opened fire on the passengers after the landmine blast derailed the train on the tracks between the cities of Luanda and Dondo.

One report said a further 146 refugees were injured in the attack.

The refugees were fleeing a 26-year war between government forces and Unita rebels that has killed more three million people in the south African nation.
