Three shot dead during Paris hostage drama

A bank robber in Paris has shot and killed three people during a hold-up in a suburb north of the French capital today.

At least one masked gunman took 10 hostages inside the Caisse d'Epargne bank in a shopping centre in Cergy-Pontoise.

Two people were killed and two others were seriously injured then the raider opened fire inside the bank .

After leaving the building, the man shot and killed a motorist and fled with his vehicle.

Police are currently pursuing the assailant.
