Plans for film to pair Batman and Superman

Film company Warner Bros has asked the writer of Seven to work on a script for a film that will pair up Batman and Superman.

It is not yet know who will take the starring roles.

Andrew Kevin Walker is to write the script.

According to www.variety.com, the film will be directed by Wolfgang Peterson, whose previous films include Das Boot and The Perfect Storm.

There is no word yet on when the film is likely to begin production.
