Zeta Jones returns home for son's birthday

Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Jones is in her hometown today to celebrate son Dylan’s first birthday.

She has been joined by her actor husband Michael Douglas for the family break in Swansea.

The couple have been staying at the city’s four-star Marriott Hotel for the past week ahead of Dylan’s birthday.

During the visit they have been visited by friends and family and Mr Douglas has been playing golf at the local Clyne Golf Course with Catherine’s father, Dai.

Miss Zeta Jones also visited the seaside town’s Grand Theatre, where she performed in her younger days, to officially open a new wing.

The Hollywood star was in Swansea six weeks ago to attend the funeral of her maternal grandmother Catherine Fair, 79.

Her other grandmother Zeta Jones, after whom she took her name, still lives in the city and has been to the hotel to visit her great-grandson.

Last month Miss Zeta Jones and her husband joined co-star Julia Roberts and other Hollywood celebrities at the premiere of America’s Sweethearts.

She plays Julia’s sister in the film that pokes fun at the cult of the Hollywood celebrity.
