Experts from across the world are set to be asked for their opinions on protecting the Taj Mahal.

There are fears that land around the monument at Agra in India may end up being sold to developers.

Officials are worried if high-rise flats go up around the architectural wonder it will lose some of its beauty.

The Asian Development Bank has already agreed a loan of £26.5m towards the preservation of the monument, according to a tourism department official.

One idea is to acquire the surrounding land and build a park around the Taj Mahal, according to reports.
