People feared missing inside blazing building

People are feared missing after a massive blaze ripped through a six-storey derelict building in Brighton.

One person believed to be living in the building was rescued by fire crews but others are unaccounted for.

Around 30 firefighters tackled the blaze. The block was well alight when crews arrived.

A spokesman for the East Sussex Fire Brigade said: "All of the upper floors are alight and flames are leaping from the roof.

"One person has so far been rescued but not all of the people are accounted for."

A Sussex Police spokesperson said people from neighbouring hotels had been told to evacuate and taken to other hotels.
