Atomic Kitten beat US rivals to number one

Girl band Atomic Kitten were celebrating today after they beat American rivals Destiny’s Child to the number one spot in the singles chart.

Their single, Eternal Flame, romped to the top spot in the charts out-selling by almost four-to-one Destiny’s Child’s Bootylicious, in a clash dubbed ‘‘battle of the girl bands’’.
