Transport strike paralyses Karachi

A transport strike in Pakistan to protest against soaring fuel prices has crippled the country's largest city, Karachi, which has a population of 14 million people.

The strike was called by the Karachi Transport Alliance, the largest organisation of private transport firms in Pakistan.
