Police consider report on Barrymore after pool death
Police are considering a report submitted by the Crown Prosecution Service following the arrest of entertainer Michael Barrymore after the death of a man at his home, a spokesman said today.
Barrymore, 49, was arrested on suspicion of possession and supply of Class B drugs, possession of a Class A drug, and allowing premises to be used for taking of Class B drugs.
The body of Stuart Lubbock, 31, was found in Barrymore’s swimming pool in Roydon, Essex, on March 31.
A police spokesman said: ‘‘We have received a report from the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to the arrests made after the death of Stuart Lubbock.
‘‘Essex police is now considering the contents of the report.’’
A post-mortem examination on Mr Lubbock revealed he died as a result of immersion.
John Kenney, 31, and Justin Merritt, 26, were arrested on suspicion of murdering Mr Lubbock.
All three men will answer bail at Harlow Police Station, Essex, on August 15.
