Arsonists attack Greek bank

Arsonists attacked a bank in central Athens today, causing minor damage but no injuries, police said.

Two home-made firebombs exploded outside the entrance of a branch of the privately owned Alpha Bank, said police.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Arson gangs carry out scores of attacks each year, mostly in Athens, targeting the cars and offices of Government agencies, large companies and diplomatic missions.
