Confusion reigns over Anna love match

Doubt was cast today on reports that tennis ace Anna Kournikova had married her boyfriend in secret.

The 20-year-old blonde was said to have married ice hockey star Sergei Fedorov, 31, away from the world’s media at a low-key registry office ceremony in Moscow earlier this month.

But a spokesman for Kournikova, at the public relations firm Octagon, said: ‘‘She has not been to Moscow for months, she has been in Florida.’’

Her father Sergei Kournikova also appeared to dismiss the reports.

He was quoted as saying that his daughter was in Florida, adding: ‘‘I think she would be very surprised to hear about this latest rumour.’’
