Protest-marred summit ends without global warming agreement

The G8 summit has ended after two days of protests in Genoa without an agreement between the United States and the rest of the nations over global warming.

The Group of Eight countries did not address George W Bush's plan to build a national missile defence system, but did pledge to ease global poverty.
