Father suspected of slaughtering family

Police have searched a southern New Mexico home for clues to what might have led to the shooting deaths of a couple and their three young daughters.

All five were found dead in their home near the small ranching community, of Las Palomas.

Investigators believe the husband shot his wife and children on Saturday night following a family dispute, then turned the gun on himself.

Police identified the victims as Wesley Snyder, 42, his wife Ruth, 39, and daughters Holly, 12, Cala, 10, and Corrie, eight.
