Ambition the key to Archer's actions, Court told

The jury members in the Lord Archer perjury trial were today told to asked themselves if the millionaire novelist was a man ruled by ambition.

And, said David Waters QC, prosecuting at the Old Bailey, they must also consider whether the former politician’s undoubted good qualities were pushed aside when ‘‘ambition is in the arena’’.
