Wreckage was discovered near the village of Budyonnovka, about 20 miles from Irkutsk.

The plane was en route from Yekaterinburg to Vladivostok.

The Vladivostokavia Airlines plane disappeared from radar screens at around 5pm.

Witnesses described hearing a large explosion in an area.

A spokesman for the Kremlin said President Vladimir Putin had ordered the formation of a commission to investigate the crash.
