A bus has collided head-on with a truck in Bangladesh, killing 13 passengers.

The accident occurred on a road in Sirajganj district, 65 miles north west of the capital, Dhaka.

Forty-three people were injured.

The truck was apparently trying to reach its destination ahead of Tuesday's dawn-to-dusk anti-Government strike, which forced most vehicles off the roads.
