Australia to spend £200m on anti-disease X-ray machines

More than 50 advanced X-ray scanners are to be installed at Australian airports and mail centres to boost efforts to keep out foot-and-mouth and other diseases.

The advanced machines are being introduced as part of a 600 million Australian dollar (£200m) upgrade of quarantine controls.
