Tajikistan hostages freed

All 15 hostages abducted by Tajik gunmen on Friday have now been released.

The hostages included an American and two Germans.

Eleven workers at the German agricultural aid organization AgroAction and four Tajik security officers were seized.

They were captured at the firm's office in the Tavil Dara region, in the foothills of the Pamir mountains.

The gunmen demanded the release of four suspects in the killing of a government official.

All of the hostages were freed by Sunday morning, the ITAR-Tass and Interfax news agencies reports.

Security officials did not give details of their release, the agencies say.

The German Embassy in Dushanbe has confirmed that all the hostages are free.
