Arafat involved in Brussels talks

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has made a surprise visit to the European Parliament in Brussels.

Mr Arafat briefed the head of the Parliament, Nicole Fontaine, on the latest developments in the Middle East.

Last night, US Envoy William Burns met with Israeli and Palestinian security officials in an effort to move the peace process forward.
