Jet's landing gear collapses
The landing gear on an American Airlines jet collapsed as it landed at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
No-one was injured in the incident yesterday.
Kathleen Bergen, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration said American flight 1107 from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Dallas-Fort Worth was carrying 87 passengers and four crew members when the accident occurred.
Passengers were evacuated by portable stairway after the plane landed.
Investigators were today checking the Fokker 100 jet where it sat stranded on the runway, which was closed. The airport remained open, officials said.
