An injured climber trapped on a mountain has been saved by a text message from his RAF rescuers, it emerged today.

An injured climber trapped on a mountain has been saved by a text message from his RAF rescuers, it emerged today.

An operator in an RAF control centre tapped out a message asking the man to call them.
