FBI spy lavished gifts on me, claims stripper

A stripper claims Robert Hanssen, the FBI agent facing the death penalty if convicted of spying for Russia, lavished £55,000 in gifts on her, including a Mercedes car .... but never once asked her for sex.

Patricia Sue Galey said the churchgoing, Bible-reading KGB mole didn’t have sex on his mind.

He wanted only to reform her and bring her closer to God.

In fact, she told Barbara Walters in a US TV interview airing tonight, Hanssen never so much as put his arm around her.

‘‘Nor would he allow me to hug and be affectionate toward him,’’ she says.

Galey, 43, says she met Hanssen, who was indicted this week on 21 counts of spying for Moscow, in 1990, after finishing her act at a Washington strip club near FBI headquarters.

‘‘He had sent a 10 dollar tip back to the dressing room . . . with the most beautiful compliment I had ever heard, saying he never expected to see such grace and beauty in a strip club,’’ Galey recalls.

On their second meeting, she says, he gave her a diamond-and-sapphire necklace and, later, he handed her an envelope with some cash, her own American Express card, and the keys to a Mercedes-Benz.

She says the relationship ended after a year when Hanssen accused her of misusing the credit card.
