Russia rejects consortium's bid to raise submarine

Russia has unexpectedly rejected a bid by a consortium of Dutch and Norwegian companies to help raise the sunken nuclear submarine Kursk.

Russia has unexpectedly rejected a bid by a consortium of Dutch and Norwegian companies to help raise the sunken nuclear submarine Kursk.

The contract will instead be awarded on Friday to an unnamed third party, said Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Ilya Klebanov.
