An investigation has been launched after two people were killed today when the light aircraft they were travelling in crashed as it was trying to take off.

The Cessna 152 plane came down shortly after taking off from Stoughton Airfield, Gartree Road, near Leicester, and ended up in a nearby rape seed field.
