An investigation was under way today to discover how a man fell to his death after using connecting doors between two carriages of a Tube train, a British Transport Police spokesman said.

An investigation was under way today to discover how a man fell to his death after using connecting doors between two carriages of a Tube train, a British Transport Police spokesman said.

The man, who has not been identified but is believed to be in his late 30s, fell from a Central Line train which had just left Mile End station in east London at 3.10pm on Wednesday.
