Geri's new single goes straight in at number one
Geri Halliwell has entered the UK singles chart at number one with her new track It's Raining Men.
The former Spice Girl knocked S Club 7's Don't Stop Movin' off the top of the charts after just one week.
It's Raining Men is on the soundtrack of the film Bridget Jones's Diary.
The song initially received little airplay and has been criticised by the Weather Girls, who sang the original in 1984.
It is taken from Geri's new album Scream If You Wanna Go Faster, released on May 14.
Geri entered the record books with her No 1.
She has become the most successful UK female artist along with former bandmate Mel C - with both having had 11 No 1 hits.
She tasted chart topping success seven times as Ginger Spice - and has now scored four smash hits as a solo artist.
