Leonard Nimoy could direct 10th Star Trek film

Leonard Nimoy is rumoured to be directing the next Star Trek movie.

The film will be the tenth in the Star Trek series.

Unofficial websites suggest Nimoy may also make an appearance as Mr Spock in the film.

The rumours surrounding Nimoy - who directed the third and fourth Star Trek films - feature on the Coming Attractions website.

The TrekToday website says the new film has the working title Star Trek X: Nemesis, and will open with the wedding of Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Troi (Marina Sirtis).

Set in Alaska, the ceremony will see the pair tie the knot with Captain Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) as best man.

TrekToday also claims that Quantum Leap star Scott Bakula - who is tipped to star in the series Star Trek V - is taking over the role in the US sitcom Late Bloomers left vacant by the walkout of Burt Reynolds.
