Palestinian shot by Israeli soldiers
Israeli soldiers have shot and wounded a Palestinian near a Gaza crossing point.
Palestinian officials said earlier he had been killed and his family was informed.
Ismail Romia, 37, from the central Gaza town of Khan Yunis, was shot in Israeli-controlled territory near the Kissufim crossing point.
The Israeli military said it was checking the report.
It is unclear why Mr Romia was in Israeli territory.
In the West Bank village of Salim, near Nablus, Israeli forces arrested a Fatah activist late on Thursday, Palestinians said.
The activist, Assad Ishtayyeh, is the leader of Fatah, Yasser Arafat's movement, in Salim and nearby villages. The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
