A close associate of Slobodan Milosevic was charged with corruption in Belgrade today, paving the way for the first trial against an official of the former president’s regime.
Miodrag Zecevic, the former manager of the French-Yugoslav Bank in Paris, is accused of withdrawing more than £180,000 from the bank and using the money to bail himself out of jail in France, where he was under investigation for financial improprieties.
