US diplomats to begin talks with China

Military officials will dominate a US team trying to win the return of a spy plane held by China after a collision with a Chinese fighter jet, the US Embassy said today in Beijing.

The eight-member American team for talks that are to begin tomorrow is led by Deputy Under-secretary of Defence Peter F Verga, the embassy said.
