A special anti-corruption court in the Philippines capital of Manila today issued an arrest warrant Monday for ousted President Joseph Estrada.

A special anti-corruption court in the Philippines capital of Manila today issued an arrest warrant Monday for ousted President Joseph Estrada.

He is accused of two charges linked to alleged corruption in office.

An additional case also was filed against him for a questionable land deal.

Estrada was expected to post a bond for bail and avoid the immediate prospect of jail.

He faces six other charges, including plunder, a capital offence for which no bail is allowed.
