China embraces US 'regret' over missing fighter pilot

China has welcomed the expression of regret by US Secretary of State Colin Powell over a Chinese fighter pilot missing after a collision with a US Navy plane.

But a Chinese government spokesman repeated the it's insistence that the United States assume full responsibility for the collision Sunday over the South China Sea.
