Eton boy and mother dead in 'suicide pact'

An Eton College schoolboy and his mother are believed to have killed themselves in a suicide pact.

The bodies of Kesham Guynwardena, a pupil at the exclusive college, and his mother were discovered early yesterday evening at their home in Pride Crossing, North Ascot, Berks.

Mr Kulasara Guynwardena, the boy's father, is believed to have discovered the pair at 6.10pm yesterday.

Detectives said their was evidence to suggest the mother and son may have taken their own lives and that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Post-mortem examinations are due to be held determine the exact cause of deaths.
