Blind Date contestant sent home after drinking
A TV contestant has been flown home after just one night of her Blind Date.
Sonia Williams got drunk in Cyprus after winning a trip on the dating show.
It's the first time in the 17 years of the show, a date has been curtailed.
The 35-year-old former model threatened to jump from a fourth-floor hotel balcony after drinking champagne and rum it was reported.
Sonia, from Plymouth, was flown home despite begging to be allowed to stay.
"I feel awful about it. I don't want people to think I am a cheap good-time girl who drinks a lot. I'm sure my last drink was spiked by a local," she said.
Her date Nathan Lowe, 30, was allowed to stay in Limassol for the rest of the trip.
The couple had been due to appear in a new series of Cilla Black's show this autumn. But they will not now be featured.
Recruitment consultant Nathan, from Windsor, is said to be gutted.
