Many feared dead as two buses tumble into river

Dozens of people are feared dead in Kenya after two buses crashed on a bridge over a rain-swollen river and plunged into the water below.

The tragedy occurred as the two buses heading from Malindi to Mombasa collided on a bridge over the Sabaki River.

It is not known whether one bus was trying to overtake the other on the bridge.

Police have so far pulled 13 bodies from the crocodile-infested river and divers from the Kenyan navy have been called in to search for others.
