Bangladesh road crash kills 17
At least 17 people have been killed after a truck overturned in Bangladesh.
The overloaded cement-laden truck was carrying 48 passengers when it toppled near Sherpur, 90 miles north of Dhaka.
Thirty others were hurt after one of the rear wheels burst.
All the passengers were day labourers hitching a ride back home from the capital.
The wounded were taken to the Sherpur Sadar Hospital, where three people died. Fourteen seriously injured victims were taken to the Medical College Hospital in nearby Mymensingh.
Rescuers pulled out 14 bodies from the wreckage.
