British TV producer killed in Kosovo

A British television producer was killed by shellfire in Kosovo today.

Associated Press Television News confirmed that Kerem Lawton, 30, died near Krivenik, a village near the border with Macedonia.

Mr Lawton, who had an English father and Turkish mother, had previously been based in Turkey, APTN said.

He had already undertaken several assignments in Kosovo and moved there last year.
