14 die after bus plunges down 100ft ravine

Fourteeen passengers have died and another 24 are injured after their packed tour bus fell over a steep ravine in Portugal last night.

The single-decker bus careered off a highway near Santa Comba Dao at 8am before tumbling down the 100-foot ravine, crushing its roof.

The passengers, most of whom were elderly, were returning from a day-trip to the Catholic shrine at Fatima.
